Cover Crazy (#3)!

Hello everyone! You're back on the third edition of Cover Crazy, an awesome meme which is hosted by The Book Worms. She is willing to share her fondness of cover design to the whole world, and how could I resist the urge to join in? :)

Here is my Cover Crazy this week:

The blurb: NEVER LET ME GO meets HIS DARK MATERIALS in a beautiful, haunting YA debut, the first book in The Hybrid Trilogy.

Eva and Addie live in a world where everyone is born with two souls, but where only the dominant one is allowed to survive childhood. Fifteen years old, and closer even than twins, the girls are keeping Eva, the ‘second soul’, a secret. They know that it’s forbidden to be hybrid, but how could they ever be apart?

When a dramatic event reveals what really happens to hybrids if they are discovered, Eva and Addie face a dangerous fight for survival, neither wanting to be the one left behind…

What I love about the cover: The palette of this cover is gorgeous! The shade of gray, blue, and pink is just awesome! I love it that this cover only show half part of her face, and just look at her haunting eyes! She has a really beautiful eyes anyway, like an emerald. This cover is perfect and I can't wait to read this book, the story sounds amazing!

What do you think about the cover? Don't forget to leave your Cover Crazy link in the comment! :)

February book release!

It's February, the month of lurrrvveeee. Who's excited to celebrate Valentine's Day? Raise your hand! I won't be the one raising my hand though. Valentine's Day means the second day of my college's second term! After a month of caving in with books, movies, and oreos, I'll go back to college!

Soooo there are many book released in February! I guess some authors are simply hopeless romantic, right? Maybe the Valentine magic will make it memorable for the book's release, especially for debut author haha. Okay, enough mumbling, move on to February release! :)

"Blessed with a gift..."cursed" with a secret."

Everybody knows Cate Cahill and her sisters are eccentric. Too pretty, too reclusive, and far too educated for their own good. But the truth is even worse: they're witches. And if their secret is discovered by the priests of the Brotherhood, it would mean an asylum, a prison ship - or an early grave.

Before her mother died, Cate promised to protect her sisters. But with only six months left to choose between marriage and the Sisterhood, she might not be able to keep her word . . . especially after she finds her mother's diary, uncovering a secret that could spell her family's destruction. Desperate to find alternatives to their fate, Cate starts scouring banned books and questioning rebellious new friends, all while juggling tea parties, shocking marriage proposals, and a forbidden romance with the completely unsuitable Finn Belastra.

If what her mother wrote is true, the Cahill girls aren't safe. Not from the Brotherhood, the Sisterhood - not even from each other.

Especially when he is your French tutor, and lessons have started becoming, well, certainly more interesting than French ever has been before. But can the invisible girl actually end up with a happily ever after with the golden boy, when no one even knows they're dating? And is Ella going to dare to be that girl?

The money will be enough to pay for Jo’s dream: real photography classes, and maybe even quitting her paparazzi gig for good.

Everyone wants to know what Ned’s in for. But Jo certainly doesn’t know what she’s in for: falling in love with Ned was never supposed to be part of her assignment.

Have you read any of these books? I've got my arc copy of Dead to You by Lisa McMann and I can't wait to read it! A special recommendation from me to read this month is Fever by Lauren Destefano! I love Wither and I'm eagerly anticipating the second installment of the series!

I haven't got the chance to read Incarnate or Everneath, but I'll be sure to read them as soon as I have finished reading Shatter Me and The Truth About Forever! :)

What I'm reading now...

Die For Me (Revenants #1)

Author: Amy Plum
Expected publication date:  May 10th 2011

The cover is such a treat! It seems that we get angel here.
French angels! Talking about the city of romance, and beautiful angel. I need to read it now! :)

Summary:
My life had always been blissfully, wonderfully normal. But it only took one moment to change everything.

Suddenly, my sister, Georgia, and I were orphans. We put our lives into storage and moved to Paris to live with my grandparents. And I knew my shattered heart, my shattered life, would never feel normal again. Then I met Vincent.

Mysterious, sexy, and unnervingly charming, Vincent Delacroix appeared out of nowhere and swept me off my feet. Just like that, I was in danger of losing my heart all over again. But I was ready to let it happen.

Of course, nothing is ever that easy. Because Vincent is no normal human. He has a terrifying destiny, one that puts his life at risk every day. He also has enemies . . . immortal, murderous enemies who are determined to destroy him and all of his kind.

While I'm fighting to piece together the remnants of my life, can I risk putting my heart—as well as my life and my family's—in jeopardy for a chance at love?

Don't you fall for the cover?

I think the cover is really beautiful!

Truth, I judge book by its cover. Discovering a great book in not-so-good cover is fun, but discovering a great book in aww-so-good cover is so much fun too.

I'm a book huntress, but I really fall easily for good covers.

Can't wait to read this book: Lost Voices by Sarah Porter. I get an ARC edition, yay! The publication date is July 4th this year. Close to my lovely birthday.

Here is the summary:

What happens to the girls nobody sees—the ones who are ignored, mistreated, hidden away? The girls nobody hears when they cry for help?

Fourteen-year-old Luce is one of those lost girls. After her father vanishes in a storm at sea, she is stuck in a grim, gray Alaskan fishing village with her alcoholic uncle. When her uncle crosses an unspeakable line, Luce reaches the depths of despair. Abandoned on the cliffs near her home, she expects to die when she tumbles to the icy, churning waves below. Instead, she undergoes an astonishing transformation and becomes a mermaid.
A tribe of mermaids finds Luce and welcomes her in—all of them, like her, lost girls who surrendered their humanity in the darkest moments of their lives. The mermaids are beautiful, free, and ageless, and Luce is thrilled with her new life until she discovers the catch: they feel an uncontrollable desire to drown seafarers, using their enchanted voices to lure ships into the rocks.

Luce’s own talent at singing captures the attention of the tribe’s queen, the fierce and elegant Catarina, and Luce soon finds herself pressured to join in committing mass murder. Luce’s struggle to retain her inner humanity puts her at odds with her friends; even worse, Catarina seems to regard Luce as a potential rival. But the appearance of a devious new mermaid brings a real threat to Catarina’s leadership and endangers the very existence of the tribe. Can Luce find the courage to challenge the newcomer, even at the risk of becoming rejected and alone once again?

Lost Voices is a captivating and wildly original tale about finding a voice, the healing power of friendship, and the strength it takes to forgive

Everyone has said that this story is dark, but beautiful. I have to check it out myself!
