Haul from the Hummingbird (#7)! ( + my rants about blog design)

Hi lovely readers! Like usual, this post is another few weeks edition! I remember telling you that I was trying to limit my books, especially my review book, but I failed miserably. *shed tears* Sometimes I wish I could read faster. Maybe then I would stop wishing for 26 hours in a day. ;)

Oh well. Enough of my rants, now onto the hauls! :) *pats my hummingbird on the head*

(clicking on the book cover will bring you to the Goodreads page!)

Huge, gigantic thanks to Razorbill, Egmont USA, Harlequin Teen, and Jody Gehrman for the review copy! ♥

First shelf

To be frank, Origin sounds a bit tarzan-ish for me, which is SO COOL. Sadly, my hope was crushed when I heard that the girl didn't even ride her pet jaguar. I mean, WHY?? Right now I'm halfway through The Demon Catchers of Milan. It's strange and a bit nightmarish and oh-so-creepy, but it's a fast read I like! Have you watched the book trailer for Speechless? I love the trailer so much, it's very simple yet beautiful! My copy of Audrey's Guide to Witchcraft is signed by the awesome Jody Gehrman, and I'm very excited! Especially since she sent it all the way to Indonesia, along with the lovely book card inside! :)

Second Shelf

Seraphina. Dragon. Christopher Paolini giving praises. 'Nuff said. :) Survive sounds like a great dark contemporary! You know how I much I adore characters-driven books. And aww, I miss my dose of historical YA! I heard nothing but very good things about Code Name Verity, so I can't wait to read it!

I can't wait to see what everyone else got, so leave your link in the comment below! :)

Anywayyysss....

I changed my blog design again haha. What do you think? My sister took a look and said, "Wow. Your blog has grown up now!" Eeek. She said she loved the previous design more. Said that it's cute. As always, I'm conflicted. But I love my new button! And the rococo chandeliers! *cries*

Err... sorry for another episode of Hilda's rants. Guess I just miss talking to you all. :) Happy Sunday, everyone! :)

Haul from the Hummingbird (#6)!

Hi everyone! I'm so excited to do this feature again. Today is another few weeks edition! I'm trying to limit my review-books, so I don't do NetGalley for now. Boy, do I have any idea how hard it could be. Especially with books like Stormdancer and Speechless showing up! Anybody sharing my on-going lament? :P

Now for the good haul from my lovely (and super strong) hummingbird!

(clicking on the book cover will bring you to the Goodreads page!)

First shelf

I received Hallowed the same week of my birthday, so I take it as unofficial birthday present! Thank you so  much, lovely Riya! You should totally check out her blog because she has the cutest blog (and such amazing reviews) ever! Plus, I LOVE that girl very much! x)  Such a Rush is a book that has been on my wish list for a long time! Dante's Girl has one of the cutest cover I've even seen in... decades? :P Insignia receives many positive reviews and I'm so intrigued to read it!

Second shelf

I love the cover of The Forsaken very much, it's VERY COOL beyond words! Oh my gosh, Tiger Lily! Finally! Fun fact only, Peter Pan was one of my earliest book crush! ;)  I hunt for awesomeness in I Hunt Killers! Sounds like the perfect book to balance my cute contemporaries! x)

I read like snail lately, so I'm hoping to quicken up my pace soon! A bit hard since all I want is sleeping all day. Must be side effect of holiday. I think I'm in hibernation right now. That's right, folks, summer hibernation!

Enough of my ramblings! What did you guys get? Can't wait to see everyone's amazing hauls! :)

Haul from the Hummingbird (#5)!

Hi everyone! So amazing to see you again! :)

I'm so glad to start July! July might be my favorite month. It's the time of my super-awesome summer break, the month when my birthday comes (EEEP!), and the beginning of a school year here. Hopefully this is gonna be a month full of awesomeness! ♥

Now on to the lovely hauls I received and bought the past few weeks!

(clicking on the book cover will bring you to the Goodreads page)

Thank you so much, Disney-Hyperion, Strange Chemistry, and Jolene Stockman! ♥

First shelf
I'm reading Dark Star right now, and it's totally fabulous! This is Not a Test is a wonderful read, definitely worth every cent I spent. You can read my review here. Oh my gosh, pirate and assassin in The Assassin's Curse! Sounds terrific. x) For Darkness Shows the Stars receives so many raving reviews, plus the cover is gorgeous!

Second shelf
Can't wait to read Smart Girls Get What They Want, I so fall in love with the title! ♥ The Jelly Bean Crisis has the loveliest cover ever, agree? ;) The Golden Lily means Adrian, and Adrian means absolute heaven. Just sayin. My sister bought After, and it sounds sad but amazing. :)

Third shelf
Hopefully Something Like Normal won't break my heart too much! I really like the cover of My Life Next Door, and the catchy title. Oh, a math prodigy in  A Girl Named Digit? I'm so eager to meet her! x)

I can't wait to see what everyone else got, so feel free to leave me link to your book haul post! I hope everyone had a good week with books and well... everything else in your life! Stay amazing! :)

Haul from the Hummingbird (#4)!

Hi everybody! You may have noticed that I didn't do this feature last week, so this post is a wrap-up of books I've received the past two weeks. I haven't posted much lately, but you can expect things to get back to normal soon! Exams are finally over! *insert breathless shriek here* Talking about excessive happiness! :)

Since I love rewarding myself to the point of spoiling, I decided to get many some books for my Summer read!

(clicking on the picture would bring you to the Goodreads page)

ENORMOUS thanks to Harper Collins, Tribute books, Harlequin Teen, and Abrams! :)

I'm so excited to read What's Left of Me! I've been wanting the book ever since I saw the cover, so I'm very glad to have the chance to read it! I heard that Pushing the Limits is a touching and lovely story, so I can't wait to dive into! I'm in the mood for historical YA lately. My first thought when I read the blurb of A Soldier's Secret: Mulan, anyone? Shadow and Bone, oh-em-gee! Finally.

I received The Color of Snow for the book tour. Lovely cover! Darkness Before Dawn looks so good! I love the cover of Beauty, so I just know that I have to buy it! I was a bit hesitant to pick Arise, but I have to know what happen to Amelia and Joshua.

I love the dark tone in Elizabeth Scott's books. Living Dead Girl is my favorite book by her, but I hope Miracle could be my new favorite. I read Easy two weeks ago and fell in love with the story. It's so good and I'd recommend it to anyone! I have a thing for fairytale, so Enchanted is an instant-buy. Good Oil looks really good! I love Australian author!

I hope everyone had a great week with books too! Looking forward to see what everyone else got! Happy Sunday lovely people! :)

Haul from the Hummingbird (#3)!

Hello everybody! It's very nice to see you again! :)

This might be a slow week for me, but I love all the books I got! They are all promising such good read! My hummingbird kindly brought me this books:

(clicking on the cover will bring you to the Goodreads page)

And that's all what I had this week!

Peeked on The List and I think the writing is really good. I devoured Divergent last week and really LOVED it, so it's no question I got myself a copy of Insurgent instantly after! Finished reading The Seeds of Wither and the shortness of never-before-published story inside the book actually makes me wonder if it can be called a book. Guardian is a novella and I'm so hoping it could be longer! Hopefully I'm going to love the gory details in The Hunt! Look, Insanity and The Temptation use the same photo effect! Adore the final result! ♥

I'm thinking to post reviews of The Seeds of Wither and Elemental by Brigid Kemmerer in one post next week, since both are very short! Review of Guardian should be up in the same week too. :)

Thank you for reading, and I hope you have a wonderful day!

What books did you receive this week? Don't forget to leave the link! Oh, and there are two giveaways still running on my blog, just check out the right sidebar if you want to enter! ♥

Haul from the Hummingbird (#2)!

Hello, and welcome back again to second edition of Haul from the Hummingbird! Haul from the Hummingbird is a feature to show books that my cute, super strong hummingbird had brought along the past week for me.

(click on the book cover to bring you to the Goodreads page)

A million thanks for the publisher who bless me some books above. <3

I'm so excited to read Cat Girl's Day Off because I always wish that I can speak with cats. I've got my Kleenex ready for In Honor and Second Chance Summer. Excuse me while I'm ogling the super gorgeous cover of The Selection! Ooh, maybe another Kleenex box needed for First Comes Love. There are raving reviews about Hemlock, hopefully it will live up to its premises! Enclave will be the first Ann Aguirre book I read, it sounds incredibly amazing!

Now, it's your chance to turn my eyes green with envy! Feel free to leave the link. I hope everyone have amazing week!

PS: There are still time to enter giveaways in my blog! International entries are welcome! :)
