Feature & Follow Friday!

Hello! Thank you for stopping by on this post, whether you're my amazing old followers or fantastic new followers! Feature and Follow Friday is a fun meme hosted by Parajunkee & Alison Can Read.

Q: What is one book that you would be nervous to see a movie adaption of because you think the movie could never live up to the book?

The first thing that comes into my mind is Catching Fire! I'm worried whether they will find a suitable actor to play Finnick Odair! He's one of my favorite Hunger Games characters, and I only hope that the actor can show both sides of Finnick: his playful side and his fragile side! x)

Well, I'm always nervous when they make a movie adaptation of the book. Most of the time, they don't stick to the book and it's like a nightmare for me. I expect them to follow every bits and pieces of the plot in the book, so when they eliminate some scenes, it gets on my nerves! Ah, me and my sky-high expectation.

Demanding the movie to stay exactly the same with the book. Hey, it should be stated as the right of reader! :)

Don't forget to leave the link! I'll make sure to drop by on your blog. Have an amazing weekend everyone! :)

  1. I am always nervous about books-to-movies also. I agree they should follow all parts of the book! Thanks for stopping by my FF.

And Finnick is the BEST CHARACTER OF THE HUNGER GAMES. That's all I'm going to say. :)

  4. Great pick. It will definitely be interesting to see Catching Fire as a movie - and to see who they cast as Finnick. Thanks for stopping by my blog.

  5. I'm pretty nervous about Catching Fire too! Especially because I recently heard the directer who co-wrote the screenplay for The Hunger Games dropped out so they need a new one. D:

    1. Great question, Aleksandra! <3 I'd like to see Alex Pettyfer play the role! His hair is exactly the same with how I picture Finnick's hair would! And he's otherworldly gorgeous! <3

I watched One Direction's music video, What Makes You Beautiful, and I think Liam Payne has features like Finnick too! But Liam is not an actor so I think he is out of discussion LOL! Still... I think he'd make a great Finnick! xD

  8. It's hard to imagine a Finnick. Hopefully they'll find someone as good as the rest of the cast.

    My follow friday.

  9. I'm worried about Finnick too! I'm going in with low expectations though but I hope they can do it well. I'm also worried about Annie and Johanna. I really hope they'll do it well!

  11. I agree! I read this article on MTV saying who had been discussed for the role of Finnick and none of them sounded right :( I hope they pick the right person in the end, I actually can't think of anyone atm :/

  12. Oh Hilda, I LOVE your Hunger Games and Finnick love! x) <3 I know he's one of your top book boyfriends so I won't try to steal him from you, but I'm so worried about who's going to play him too! If he's not perfect, I'm pretty sure I might cry LOL. There's really no actor I can think of that could live up to The Odair's awesomeness -- real boys just aren't made that way! :P

Love your answer, Hilda! <3 And I completely agree that all books we love would be both cool and scary to see on the big screen -- I tend to have too high expectations for them like you, so it's so easy to be let down!

I hope you have an AMAZING weekend! :) <3

  13. I said Mockingjay as it is so depressing I just cant see how they could portray this.

  14. Aaaaah, you're right! I still haven't watched The Hunger Games yet (only one week to go!), but now that you say it... I totally agree with you. Finnick was one of my favorite characters of the second book, and as you say -- I hope the actor makes him justice! (if he's as the book says, I think there will be some drooling over him on the cinema LOL).

    Have a great weekend~

  15. I agree with that one! How on earth are they going to find someone awesome enough to pull off Finnick Odair? I like movies to be exactly like the books too but they hardly ever are so I always makes sure I have low expectations. that way I'm never TOO disappointed! :D

  20. I definitely agree with u. But I dont think that books are ever as good as the movies because so much detail can be left out.

  23. I agree! I love Finnick, and part of me is a little bit apprehensive about his casting. The CDs made fantastic choices about Katniss, Cinna, Peeta, et all though, so I'm hoping that extends to Finnick as well!

Thanks for stopping by, btw! Following you :).
