Monday Muse: We are all wizards and witches!

You must know this part from the book, right? Flying invitation letters ♥
I hope everyone has a good day! Welcome back to Monday Muse, your one-stop weekly post where you can get a little dose of inspiration to brighten up your Monday! Even though I was very tempted to write about One Direction (OMG LIAM! HARRY!) but I'm painfully aware that it's not book-related. Unless some miracle happens and Liam Payne would play as Finnick Odair in Catching Fire! Well, no such luck I guess. So I picked another muse for this edition! Guess who?

Today, my muse is... JK Rowling, the Queen of Magical Realm! ♥

Actually, she has been my muse since I was in the third grade in middle school. Yes, it was the first time I read Harry Potter and the Philosopher Stone! And I'm sure you must have known by now - JK Rowling's newest series for adult will come out this September! I'm soooo happy!! I thought she would never write again, not after Harry Potter and all its exhausting hype. And I've never been so glad to be wrong!! I can't wait for this new series! Gosh, I practically would read anything written by JK Rowling - even her grocery note! :P

If you're a Potterhead, then you must have received your owl about this amazing news: POTTERMORE is open for public!

Pottermore is the super amazing site designed by JK Rowling herself to give back something to the fans all over the world. It's an online experience of becoming Harry Potter, and it's completely FREE! In this amazing site, aside from experiencing Harry's adventure, you also get to read amazing note about Harry that has never been published before! It's completely safe for all ages too, even for a nine-year-old kid who has just finished reading Harry Potter and curious to try it! ♥

The site has just opened for public this April. It should have opened to everyone since last year, and I don't know what it is with all the long wait. But well... better late than never, right? Click the picture of our Queen to bring you to the Pottermore site! :)

In Pottermore, you can also visit Diagon Alley, buy your school shopping, pick your pet (owl, cat, or toad!), get your wand, get sorted into houses in Hogwarts, and study MAGIC, of course! :)

There are four houses at Hogwarts – Gryffindor, Hufflepuff, Ravenclaw and Slytherin, and each has a noble history of its own. To find out which house you belong to, you will need to take part in the Sorting Ceremony in Chapter Seven. Then, once the Sorting Hat has decided, you will discover whether you are hard-working and loyal like Helga Hufflepuff; intelligent and wise like Rowena Ravenclaw; ambitious and cunning like Salazar Slytherin or brave and chivalrous like Godric Gryffindor. From that moment forward, your house is like your family at Hogwarts, and your allegiance to your house is everything. You and your housemates should then try to earn as many house points as possible and help your house win the all-important House Cup.

Which house do I get into? Well, what do you think I must be?

A little bit of drumroll please...

I am:

Gryffindor, and proud to be one! :) The bravest of the brave! My favorite character in Harry Potter series, Albus Dumbledore, was a Gryffindor too! Not to mention our king, Ron Weasley; our queen, Hermione Granger; and our hero, Harry Potter! ♥

I actually thought that I would be a Ravenclaw. No, I don't like Algebra or Physics *shudder* but I LOVE learning new things. Oh well, I guess my need for justice is stronger than my devotion to my study. ;)

The funny thing is, I asked my sister to guess the house I got into. She guessed: Ravenclaw! I asked my friend and she also guessed: Ravenclaw! Both are really, really surprised when they found out that I'm Gryffindor. Wowza. Some of my classmates are sent into Slytherin, and they are so proud. When they found out that one of my other classmate is a Hufflepuff, they kept saying, "Poor her." "We're so lucky that we don't end up in Hufflepuff." "Oh, I don't know what I would do if they send me to Hufflepuff." Um, I think they're being Slytherin, and they play their role really well. Finger crossed I won't have to do a wizard duel with them. ;)

So I think, the sorting hat really puts you in the best house according to your character. The quiz with random questions is so true! :)

What are you waiting for? Go to this site to have more on Harry Potter experience and sign up yourself!

http://www.pottermore.com/

When you have signed in, don't forget to come back here and maybe add me on Pottermore. Oh, and please please please do tell me, which house do you get placed in?

Well, I have to go now. You know, we Gryffindor have to do our duty to save muggle from crazy Slytherin.

Thank you for reading Monday Muse, fellow wizards and witches! :)

**Update**

This is not important, but my sister just found out that she's a Ravenclaw. We're rivals now LOL! I've known all along that she's a Ravenclaw. She's very smart and a genius in Economy. Too bad my family can't end up in Gryffindor together like Weasley's family. :D

    1. The series is EPIC, Nea! I hope you'll read it someday since most people I know just watch the movie. But trust me, the books are much better!! :)

  2. One Direction!!! <3 Oh my gosh, you should've definitely written about them -- it's okay to jump off the book train sometimes, right? LOL x) (Combined with your love and my sister's for these boys, it's kind of contagious!)

I'm still Potter-blivious (I think my friend is gifting me her HP books so I can scratch that out LOL) but I think that the idea of Pottermore is so hilariously awesome! I want to join just so I can show off my wizardy skills too! ;) I don't know what's so wrong with Hufflepuff (although I can see that those Slytherin people aren't very nice), but it has to cutest name! So HEY, I want to be Hufflepuff! :D

    Hahaha this made me smile! x) I hope you have a B E A U T I F U L Monday, Hilda! ♥

    1. LOL I don't know, Mimi - maybe next week I'll write about them! I have some ideas what to write, but I'm not really sure if I can tackle the topic well! Oh, and I have no idea how to write a post without fangirling all over the paragraphs with 'OMG!' 'SWOON!' 'MARRY ME!' and 'OHMYGOSHOHMYGOSHOHMYGOSH!'xD

Hufflepuff is always the loveliest, and I agree, it has the cutest name! Well, I think the main requirement on being a Hufflepuff is SWEETNESS, and I know that you get it much, Mimi! ♥♥ This is fun fact that my Hufflepuff friend told me that there is always someone who likes your comment in their common room (where only Hufflepuff can see and write the comments!). So I know that Hufflepuff people are the kindest ones! ♥

Have a WONDERFUL day for you too, Mimi! ♥

    2. OMG MIMI YESSSSSSSSSS!!!

HUFFLEPUFF IS OBVIOUSLY THE BEST HOUSE EVER AND YOU SHOULD TOTALLY PICK THAT ONE BECAUSE THEN WE CAN ROOM TOGETHER AND WE CAN HANG OUT WITH ALL THOSE DANCING PLANTS AND SMILING FACES.

WHO WANTS TO BE BRAVE OR SMART OR CUNNING WHEN YOU CAN BE A BADGER? WOOT WOOT!

(Um, no offence to the other houses... LOL. I feel the need to passionately defend Hufflepuff whenever I see it mentioned)

  3. Aw, this is a cute post! I was lucky enough to be one of the beta testers and remember being so anxious for it. I'm a Ravenclaw. :)

  4. Love your Monday Muse posts!! I was so excited for Pottermore. When they were testing it and they had beta testers, I actually got invited to beta test it, but it was so glitchy and it lagged and crashed because so many people were on at the same time, I never got to do anything but stare longingly at the homepage! Better log back on and start playing around!

    1. Thank you, Darlene! ♥ Ah, I remember my painful memory of it. I finally got invited to be one of the beta testers, but the email was lost it spam email and the link has already dead by the time I was finding it. I mourned for days LOL. Can't wait to see you around there! :)

  5. ONE DIRECTION <3 I don't know much about them except that I've been listening to What Makes You Beautiful on loop all week and LIAM PAYNE IS BEAUTIFUL! He so needs to be Finnick Odair! ♥ And I agree, JKR is brilliance. She has inspired me in so many ways- to read, to write and to love so many random things!

And I was a Pottermore beta member so I finished Sorceror's Stone last year. It's so great that my friends are slowly getting sorted now and are like, Guess which house I got sorted into? Brings the excitement back! Gryffindor is great! Ish :P Guess which house I got sorted into? I wanted Ravenclaw. I expected Ravenclaw. My friends think I'm very Luna Lovegood-ish. But I was...

...SLYTHERIN! Soweird. Had a mild identity crisis for days and then I decided it was awesome :P All my friends are either Gryffindor or Hufflepuff! Please add me- my username is ChaserNewt93 xD

Awesome post, Hilda! I LOVE your Monday Muse posts! They are so much fun!

    1. He is, Ajoop! When I first saw him on the music video, the first thing on my mind was: OH MY GOD that's FINNICK. That's Finnick who comes in life. Finnick Finnick Finnick. JK Rowling is such a great inspiration for me too! <3

Oh, Slytherin is sooo cool! You don't need to have mild identity crisis - I'm sure that in some way, Slytherin are very nice! Remember Draco and Snape? They both end up as loyal and good wizards! Some of my friends are Slytherin too, and they're awesome people! Done adding you, Ajoop! My username is SnitchDraconis8812. See? I have a thing with draco. Fun fact: my wand's core is dragon LOL! x)

Thank you, Ajoop! ♥ You're so sweet! x)

  7. Hahahaha One Direction! Hmmm... Actually visualizing Liam as Finnick... LOL

Wow! I had heard of Pottermore, but I haven't tried it. Yet! It sounds amazing, just like the kind of thing I'd have liked to do back when I read the books. My sister and I used to play we studied at Hogwarts! Anyways. This summer I'm planning on doing a Harry Potter marathon and read all the books, since I've read only two of them (don't remember which).

Have a wonderful week, Hilda <3

Have a wonderful week for you too, Sophie! ♥ :)

  8. I remember staying up hours in the summer to get a place as a beta tester. It was a lot of fun back then and I thought it had been open to the public ages ago! Still, like you said, better late than never. I love the little snippets we can read to find out more about...well everything really. I think that's my favourite part! :D I hardly have the time to go on any more though.

    1. I agree, Sam, the never-published stories are amazing! I love the part about the wand wood. It turns out that my wand wood, Rowan, is famous for its protection. It's just so much fun reading all the little info, since I adore the magic world so much. ;) ♥

  9. ONE DIRECTION! ♥ I LOVE 1D FOREVER. Hahaha, hmmm..my favourite 1D boys is probably Harry, or Liam, or Zayn, or Louis, or Niall (I can't choose! :P)

Anyway, HARRY POTTER! I haven't read the whole series *slams head to wall* but I've read the first book 2 weeks ago! I hope I can finish it soon. I want to join Pottermore too but maybe I need to finish the books first or else I won't have time to read the books because I'm too addicted to Pottermore :P

Love this post, Hilda! ♥ I hope you post something about One Direction next week or someday! ;)

    1. LOL you're so cute, Celine! I can't pick my fave either, because even though I LOVE Liam, I keep squealing every time Harry pops up or when Louis smiles (which he does A LOT!). ♥ They're just too cute to have only one LOL! xD

Oh, Pottermore is a very quick experience so I think it's fairly easy to sneak time to try it, Celine! I flew through the chapters in the site LOL - with occasional shriek when I found JK Rowling's never-published-before-writing! x)

Thank you, Celine! ♥ I'll rethink to post about One Direction next week - maybe it'd be fun to squeal here all over the five super cute hot guys LOL! x)

  10. LOL. How strange that you should be talking about 1D. A friend of mine just bought tickets for her younger sister to see them in concert next year. I think I'm too old to be super excited about them but they're cute. I can't wait to read JK's new series even though I have no idea what it'll be about. And if I had to choose a Hogwarts house for myself I think I would probably end up in Slytherin :(

    1. Oh, I'm sure that you're not too old for that, Lan! I kinda feel like I'm too old to sometimes LOL - aside from one member, they are all younger than me! x) I hope I get to watch them in a concert someday - but maybe I would faint just by the sight of them! *le me exaggerating* It's okay even if you ended up in Slytherin - they're very cool too! With your wits and courage, Sam, I get a feeling that maybe you are Gryffindor too like me LOL! :D

  11. Ahhh, everyone is talking about One Direction! D; I was fine with everyone at school but... my blogger friends are into them too? Now I'm thinking I should look them up past that one song that's always on the radio.

LONG LIVE QUEEN ROWLING! <333 What a perfect choice for your weekly inspiration :) Isn't JKR an inspiration to us all? Her books changed my entire life.

And ahhh, Gryffindor! Congratulations, Hilda! :D Out of all the houses, I think I'm least Gryffindor but obviously it's produced some OUTSTANDING witches and wizards (Dumbledore! Hermione! Ron! HARRY!). I'm Hufflepuff and proud so if you want to give me the addresses of those kids so that I can hunt them down and teach them just how fan-freaking-tastic Hufflepuff is, feel free ;) (Just kidding... don't be scared! *runs after you for a hug*)

Great post, Hilda! <3 I for one am feeling VERY inspired :)

    1. YOU SHOULD, Sonia! LOL I love them so much. My friends and I can't stop gushing about them - there are so much cuteness and awesomeness they possess! When you have done watching the music video, I know you'd fall over heels about them too! xD

Thank Sonia, you're the best! <3 I agree, what would we do without the amazing JK Rowling? She's truly a legend! :)

LOL I have no idea why I end up in Gryffindor actually - I'm not that brave and er... reckless as them. I guess I'm more like Neville who longs for courage. x) Oh, Sonia, those kids do not mean anything bad, I assure you. They're just being Malfoy I guess (wait, Malfoy doesn't mean anything bad... right?). I'm proudly tell you that I defended the honor of Hufflepuff at that time! *hugs you back*

Thank you, Sonia! I always enjoy hearing your response, since you are always full of enthusiasm! <3
