February book release!

It's February, the month of lurrrvveeee. Who's excited to celebrate Valentine's Day? Raise your hand! I won't be the one raising my hand though. Valentine's Day means the second day of my college's second term! After a month of caving in with books, movies, and oreos, I'll go back to college!

Soooo there are many book released in February! I guess some authors are simply hopeless romantic, right? Maybe the Valentine magic will make it memorable for the book's release, especially for debut author haha. Okay, enough mumbling, move on to February release! :)

Rhine and Gabriel have escaped the mansion, but danger is never far behind.

With Gabriel at her side, Rhine travels through an environment as grim as the one she left a year ago - surroundings that mirror her own feelings of fear and hopelessness.

The two are determined to get to Manhattan, to relative safety with Rhine’s twin brother, Rowan. But the road there is long and perilous - and in a world where young women only live to age twenty and young men die at twenty-five, time is precious. Worse still, they can’t seem to elude Rhine’s father-in-law, Vaughn, who is determined to bring Rhine back to the mansion...by any means necessary.

Born Wicked (The Cahill Witch Chronicles, #1) by
Expected publication: February 7th 2012 by Putnam Juvenile

"Blessed with a gift..."cursed" with a secret."

Everybody knows Cate Cahill and her sisters are eccentric. Too pretty, too reclusive, and far too educated for their own good. But the truth is even worse: they're witches. And if their secret is discovered by the priests of the Brotherhood, it would mean an asylum, a prison ship - or an early grave.

Before her mother died, Cate promised to protect her sisters. But with only six months left to choose between marriage and the Sisterhood, she might not be able to keep her word . . . especially after she finds her mother's diary, uncovering a secret that could spell her family's destruction. Desperate to find alternatives to their fate, Cate starts scouring banned books and questioning rebellious new friends, all while juggling tea parties, shocking marriage proposals, and a forbidden romance with the completely unsuitable Finn Belastra.

If what her mother wrote is true, the Cahill girls aren't safe. Not from the Brotherhood, the Sisterhood - not even from each other.

Still, it's hard being a nobody and having a crush on the biggest somebody in the school: Alex Bainbridge. Especially when he is your French tutor, and lessons have started becoming, well, certainly more interesting than French ever has been before. But can the invisible girl actually end up with a happily ever after with the golden boy, when no one even knows they're dating? And is Ella going to dare to be that girl?

Shooting Stars by Allison Rushby
Expected publication: February 28th 2012 by Walker Childrens

Meet Josephine Foster, or Zo Jo as she’s called in the biz. The best pint-sized photographer of them all, Jo doesn’t mind doing what it takes to get that perfect shot, until she’s sent on an undercover assignment to shoot Ned Hartnett—teen superstar and the only celebrity who’s ever been kind to her—at an exclusive rehabilitation retreat in Boston. The money will be enough to pay for Jo’s dream: real photography classes, and maybe even quitting her paparazzi gig for good.

Everyone wants to know what Ned’s in for. But Jo certainly doesn’t know what she’s in for: falling in love with Ned was never supposed to be part of her assignment.

Have you read any of these books? I've got my arc copy of Dead to You by Lisa McMann and I can't wait to read it! A special recommendation from me to read this month is Fever by Lauren Destefano! I love Wither and I'm eagerly anticipating the second installment of the series!

I haven't got the chance to read Incarnate or Everneath, but I'll be sure to read them as soon as I have finished reading Shatter Me and The Truth About Forever! :)

  1. I'm super excited for most of the books on this list! I've already read The Fine Art of Truth or Dare and it's fantastic. Shooting Stars sounds so adorable and I heard it does have a typical storyline, which is exciting. Great picks! :)

    1. Hello Kimberly! I can't wait either to read all those books! I have a tendency to judge book by its cover lol. Even if the story is bad, at least the cover is worth my money! Dead to You is amazing and I can't wait to hear your thought on it! Wither is a must-read, you have to read it at least once in a lifetime! I'm a sucker for cute lovey dovey story. :P
